Description
Lunch Hour Learning: Would You Know What to Do? CPR, AEDs & Emergency Response

Description:
Heart Strong Monticello is a non–profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of bystanders who will administer Hands-Only CPR and use an available AED on a Sudden Cardiac Arrest victim in the critical minutes prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services. Our missions are to raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and increase the accessibility of AEDs throughout our community. Sudden Cardiac Arrest is a national public health crisis that affects 1,000 people a day and strikes all ages.
During the Lunch Hour Learning session, participants will learn to recognize the signs of stroke, heart attack, and sudden cardiac arrest and the actions necessary to help victims exhibiting these symptoms. Those attending will have the opportunity to practice CPR and learn how to use an AED.
Presented by Founders of HeartStrong Monticello, Jim and Teri Johnson
