About Us
This dedicated group of volunteers is a non-profit organization committed to addressing a critical need at Monticello High School: the shortage of library books available to students. Currently, the school’s library holds just 3 books per student, far below the School Library Association's recommended minimum of 10 books per pupil (SLA, 2015). These figures exclude electronic resources and required textbooks, underscoring the urgency of the cause.
Fund the Future is raising funds to expand the library’s collection and ensure students have access to the resources they need to succeed academically and foster a lifelong love of reading.
