🏁 Race Format:

5–6 dogs per heat

50-yard straight sprint

Winners advance to semi-finals

📋 Requirements:

Dogs must be 1 year or older
-
Proof of rabies vaccination required

Two handlers required per dog (one at start, one at finish)

Dogs must remain leashed when not racing

Owners must sign liability waiver

🐕 Divisions:
🐾 Corgi Division
🐾 Wiener Dog (Dachshund) Division
🐾 Open Short-Legged Division (All Breeds Welcome)
This division is designed for short-legged dogs that are not purebred Corgis or Dachshunds but still bring the low-rider speed!
📋 Eligibility Requirements:

Height Requirement

Dog must measure 15 inches or less at the shoulder

Height will be verified at check-in

Build Qualification
-
Dog must visibly have a short-legged body type (long body/low center of gravity)

Final eligibility determined by Race Director

Breed Restrictions
-
Not limited to a specific breed

Mixed breeds welcome

Corgis and Dachshunds must compete in their designated divisions

Age & Health
-
Must be at least 1 year old

Must be healthy and current on rabies vaccination

No dogs in heat permitted

Temperament

Must be non-aggressive toward people and other dogs

Event staff reserve the right to remove any dog displaying unsafe behavior
