Minnesota Lodging Association is pleased to announce Best Western Plus Chelsea Hotel is the 2018 Small Property of the Year award winner.
The Best Western Plus Chelsea Hotel in Monticello is a family-focused hotel operation with a promise of treating staff and guests as family. The property's philosophy of "every guest every time" has paid off as it has received two Best Western Directors and one Chairman's Award from the hotel chain in the last two years. The 51 room hotel just underwent renovations and recently moved into the Best Western Plus category from a former Best Western. Although the hotel has a sleek new look, the staff wanted to keep the local flavor alive by focusing the lobby and business center art work on their local and well-known trumpeter swan population. Marianna Khauv is the owner of the hotel and Perry Sloneker is the general manager.

This monthly event gives members an opportunity to network and socialize in a fun, relaxed atmosphere before the regular working day. This event is meant to be more fun, less formal than other events. Attendees are encouraged to make an announcement about anything they choose-a celebration, business promotion, introduce new employee, etc.
