DESCRIPTION:The I-94 West Corridor Coalition would like to extend an invitation to attend our groundbreaking event for the I-94 Gap Project from Albertville to Monticello. \n\n \n\nWe are grateful that you and the Minnesota Department of Transportation included the I-94 lane expansion project from Albertville to Monticello in the Corridors of Commerce funding announced on July 11th\, 2023. We appreciate that this important infrastructure project will receive the full $78 million necessary to complete the lane capacity expansion\, fulfilling requests to expand I-94 West to six lanes from Clearwater to 610. \n\n \n\nThe $78 million allocated in 2023 will improve traffic flow\, reduce congestion\, and improve safety along the much-traveled highway. In addition to transportation improvements\, this project has the opportunity to attract business development\, expand the tax base\, initiate job growth\, and reduce travel time. All benefits we have seen result from the lane capacity completions in other areas of this important corridor. \n\n \n\nThe groundbreaking event will bring elected officials and project supporters together to celebrate this exciting news.
