\n\nStep back in time and help us celebrate 50 years of Riverfest with a parade full of classic cars\, sock hops\, poodle skirts\, greasers\, and good old-fashioned community fun! We invite businesses\, organizations\, families\, and clubs to get creative and embrace the spirit of the fabulous 1950s.

📬\; Parade entry checks must be made payable to:
\nRIVERFEST COMMITTEE
Include a brief description of your entry for the MC to read as you pass the announcing area (6th Street &\; Walnut).
\nAll entries must provide their own transportation and keep moving throughout the parade.
\nFloats over 50 feet must supply two safety spotters\; semi trucks require four spotters.
\nNo loudspeakers\, except for music relevant to your entry. Music must be family-friendly and not overpower neighboring entries.
\nParade placement is determined by the Parade Committee based on completed applications received.
\nWrapped candy only may be thrown. Please use caution with children near the street.
\nEntries not present at the starting point on time forfeit parade participation. No refunds will be issued.
\nThe Parade Committee reserves the right to enforce additional rules as needed for safety and flow.
\nNo water squirting at any time during the parade.
\nNo selling of concessions or items along the parade route before\, during\, or after the parade.
\nPlease refrain from smoking along the parade route.
\nDogs are allowed\, but please use caution?hot asphalt can burn paws.

\n LOCATION:The Parade Route The parade starts on 3rd Street at the Monticello American Legion Club and heads East to Walnut Street. Then it will take a right on Walnut Street and head South until 6th Street. The Parade takes a right on 6th Street and heads West to Minnesota Street where it turns South and ends on 7th Street. The parade will not cross Highway 25. (Parade units will end up near the area where they lined up.) Exciting Update! The Parade is Starting 1 Hour Earlier! This year\, we?re kicking off the parade one hour earlier than usual to make sure everyone has time to enjoy the fantastic family-friendly festivities happening in Ellison Park right after the parade! Stick around for an action-packed lineup\, including: Citizen of the Year Announcement Royal Ambassadors Coronation The Famous Duck Race Plus More! Avoid the traffic and join the fun! Hop on the free shuttle provided by Hoglund Transportation from one of our convenient shuttle stops and head straight to the celebration.
