They provide a wide range of services\, including social\, emotional\, and behavioral support\; individual and group counseling\; crisis intervention\; and academic planning through programs like 504 Plans\, IEPs\, and college/career preparation. Counselors and social workers serve as consistent support figures\, offering assistance with attendance and truancy\, referrals to external services\, and coordination with outside agencies. They also collaborate with parents\, guardians\, and staff through meetings\, consultations\, and classroom presentations to address student needs. Additionally\, the counseling team fosters community partnerships with organizations like United Way\, Central MN Mental Health\, local businesses\, and mental health agencies to enhance student resources.\n\n \n\nOne unique program they oversee is the "Magic Closet\," a district-wide initiative providing basic necessities to students in need.
